Sales Strategy Presentation

A sales strategy deck has to reconcile one thing — the number and the capacity to hit it. If the maths between quota, coverage and conversion does not close on a slide, the strategy is a wish.

The slide sequence

Each step names the Lumen slide layout to use, so you can build this deck by adding layouts to a blank deck in order. Manual building is free and unlimited, and it does not consume the AI meter.

  1. The number

The target, and the gap from where we are.

  2. Where the number comes from

Segments, new versus expansion, with the arithmetic shown.

Target profile and the buying committee.

    ThankYou
Read the titles alone before you present. Written as statements rather than labels, the titles of this deck should tell the whole story on their own. If they read as a table of contents, the sequence is fine but the writing is not.

What makes this deck fail

  • A number with no arithmetic. Show quota, coverage and conversion reconciling, or nobody believes the target.
  • No de-prioritisation slide. A strategy that adds segments without dropping any is a list.
  • Compensation misaligned with the strategy. Reps follow the comp plan, not the deck.
  • Enablement as an afterthought. If reps cannot answer the top three objections, the motion does not run.
  • Pipeline coverage unstated. Without a coverage ratio, the pipeline number means nothing.

Frequently asked questions

What should a sales strategy presentation include?

The number and the gap, where it comes from with the arithmetic shown, target segments and explicit de-prioritisation, the sales motion, coverage, pricing policy, enablement, tracking metrics and the asks.

How is a sales strategy deck different from a sales deck?

A sales strategy deck is internal and explains how the team will hit a number. A sales deck is external and persuades a buyer. They share almost no content.

What metrics belong in a sales strategy deck?

Pipeline coverage ratio, conversion by stage and sales cycle time. These three explain whether the number is achievable; activity metrics do not.

Why include a slide on who we stop selling to?

Because focus is what makes a strategy different from a target list. Adding segments without dropping any spreads the same capacity thinner.

Can I build a sales strategy deck for free?

Yes. Building manually from a blank deck in Gixo Lumen is free and unlimited on every plan, with no export paywall.
