The best input is a text outline with headings and bullets. If you need the converter to infer a story from scattered notes, that is a generation job rather than a deterministic conversion job.
The conversion step is deliberately structural. It extracts the source, identifies headings and blocks, and splits long sections into readable slides — it does not paraphrase your source or invent a narrative around it. Rewriting, restructuring and theming are separate, opt-in steps you take afterwards on the canvas.

Use # / ## headings for sections and - / * / 1. markers for bullets. Plain paragraphs still produce bounded slides.

Source rules
What the converter reads from text or Markdown.
Hash headings create slide boundaries, list markers become bullets, and unmarked prose is split by blank-line paragraph groups.
Headings
A # or ## heading creates a readable section boundary. A second-level heading starts a slide when the current slide already has content.
Lists
Bullet and numbered markers become slide bullets instead of remaining as ambiguous plain text.
Overflow
Long sections continue onto a titled continuation slide instead of being squeezed into one dense page.
