This is a free ebook creator rather than a trial of one: no account, no email address, and the values you type are not stored. What it builds is a printable ebook — a cover, a contents page, three to eight sections and a closing call to action — laid out and paginated in the browser, downloadable as HTML or printable to PDF straight away.
The line between free and paid is the branding, not the document. The free build carries a linked "Made with Gixo Folio" credit in the footer. Gixo Folio produces the same book unbranded as PDF, DOCX and EPUB, with the cover and section styling saved as a reusable template.
How to create an ebook in five steps
- Name it. Title, subtitle, author and credential — the credential is the line that decides whether a lead magnet is worth an email address.
- Write the sections. Start each with ## and its heading; a line beginning with > becomes a pull quote and a line beginning with - becomes a bullet. Three to eight sections.
- Set the two colours. The cover title's contrast against your primary colour is checked and corrected automatically, so a dark brand colour cannot swallow the title.
- Write the call to action and the contact link. The closing page is the only place the ebook asks the reader for anything.
