Lex: intake, draft and reviewer changes
Hand-authored fictional matter and clause excerpt. The tracked-change Word file is produced by Lex’s real redline exporter. It demonstrates review and export mechanics; it is not AI output, a complete NDA, an enforceability opinion or a template for signature.
Intake
Two fictional companies are evaluating a 60-day software pilot. They expect to exchange technical notes. The intended purpose is pilot evaluation, not unrestricted commercial use. The business owner asks for deletion of active copies within 14 days on request. Jurisdiction, backup retention, statutory retention, remedies and the rest of the agreement are unresolved and must be settled with counsel.
Draft problem
The first excerpt allows use for any business purpose and indefinite retention. Both conflict with the stated commercial instructions. A reviewer narrows the purpose, specifies the requested deletion period and leaves the backup/legal-retention issue open rather than silently claiming it is settled.

Inspect the handoff
Open the DOCX with revision markup visible. You should see deletions and insertions under “Demonstration reviewer,” comparing saved versions 1 and 2. This is Lex’s structure-first redline: it preserves text and paragraph structure, while complex original-document layout can be flattened. It does not demonstrate exact original-format Word round-trip fidelity.
