Folio: an imported manuscript and its exports

A complete short, fictional, hand-authored manuscript was turned into a DOCX, parsed by Folio’s actual manuscript importer and exported through its production export services. These are real exported files from controlled input, not an AI-generated book or customer outcome.

Original manuscript · Exported Word · Exported EPUB · Exported PDF · Read the source in your browser

What to compare

The source has two chapters, section headings, an ownership table and a numbered list. Check chapter boundaries, table values and list order across the files. The exported book adds publishing front matter and contents, so pagination will differ from the source. The EPUB is reflowable; a phone-sized reading view should not look identical to a fixed PDF page.

Limits shown by this example

Folio imports editable content rather than promising a lossless copy of the original page layout. This simple manuscript has no complex footnotes, floating objects or advanced Word fields. It cannot prove those structures survive. Test representative pages from your own manuscript and inspect the actual print or e-reader environment before publication.
